Antique Brown Leather Jewellery Presentation Case with Blue Velvet Interior

Antique shaped jewellery presentation case dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, circa 1890–1910.
The case has a brown leather-covered exterior with a fitted blue silk lid lining and a dark blue velvet base. The interior has a raised central fitting and surrounding recessed space, suggesting it was made to hold a substantial item of jewellery rather than a ring or small pendant.
It would be suitable for displaying or storing a large brooch, dress clip, pendant, medal, buckle, small tiara ornament or similar statement jewellery piece. V.65
