Antique Edwardian jewellery presentation box from T.W. Long & Co., Jewellers, Swansea and Cardiff, dating to the early 20th century.
The case has an elegant elongated oval form, covered in textured leather with gold edge detailing, and opens to a silk and velvet lined interior with the original jeweller’s label: “T.W. Long & Co., Jewellers, 29 Castle St., Swansea & at Cardiff.”
The interior construction with a long raised velvet cushion suggests the case was originally designed to present a bracelet or small necklace, making it an ideal display box for antique jewellery. 11 T.W.
