Antique Edwardian Box Henry Pidduck & Sons Southport Leather Jewellers Presentation Case
Antique oval leather jeweller’s presentation box dating to the late Victorian–Edwardian period (circa 1890–1910). The box is covered in brown leather with a decorative gilt border and a green leather base.
The interior is lined with cream silk and velvet and features a raised padded pedestal designed to display a brooch or small piece of jewellery.
The inside lid retains the original retailer stamp: "Henry Pidduck & Sons
Goldsmiths, Jewellers & Silversmiths, Est. 1841, 175 & 177 Lord Street
Southport"
The raised pedestal interior indicates the box was most likely supplied for a brooch, though it could also be used for a small pendant or ladies jewellery. 15S
