Original early 20th-century German jeweller’s box from Grosse & Sohn, Wiesbaden, a known retailer associated with Berlin (Theaterkolonnaden 3, formerly Berlin W50). Compact presentation case intended for rings or small jewellery.
Exterior in deep red leather with minor edge wear consistent with age. Interior lined with cream silk and velvet, with clear gold-stamped retailer branding. Structure is solid, hinge and closure functioning correctly. R1
