Antique H Wainwright & Sons Liverpool Jewellery Presentation Box, c.1900–1910

Antique jewellery presentation box retailed by H Wainwright & Sons, 7 Parker Street, Liverpool, dating to approximately 1900–1910.

The square case has a dark brown textured exterior with gilt edging, a cream satin-lined lid and deep blue velvet interior. The inside of the lid is printed with the H Wainwright & Sons name, Liverpool address and crest. The box closes with a small push-button clasp and would have been used for presenting or storing a small piece of jewellery, brooch or medal. 99.B

Condition: Good antique condition. The exterior shows age-related wear, the cream satin lining has discolouration. The printed retailer’s mark remains clearly visible
