A. Millar & Son were Edinburgh jewellers, watchmakers, and lapidaries active during the late Victorian and Edwardian period.
The case has a deep purple velvet exterior, cream silk/satin lid lining, fitted cream velvet base, and push-button clasp. The narrow slit in the base indicates it was made for a bar brooch, lace pin, stick pin, or tie pin. P.14
