Antique jewellery presentation box retailed by Boodle & Dunthorne, Jewellers, Lord Street, Liverpool — the historic firm known today as Boodles, one of Britain’s most respected independent British jewellers.
The case is covered in deep burgundy-red leather with gilt decorative edging and a crowned motif to the lid. The interior is lined with cream silk and rich red velvet and retains the original printed retailer’s label.
Originally intended for presenting a ring or small brooch.
