Antique William Battersby Leather Cufflink & Stud Earring Presentation Box, Chelsea London

Original antique jewellery presentation box by William Battersby, a London jeweller, gem dealer, and valuer active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The inside lid is printed:

The box has a dark burgundy, oxblood-toned leather exterior, a hinged lid, push-button catch, cream silk lining, and fitted deep purple velvet interior. The two separate recessed fittings indicate that it was made for a matched pair of cufflinks or stud earrings.
