Antique WMF Silver Plated Lobster Seafood Cutlery Set, 12 Piece Art Nouveau Oyster Fork Set

Antique WMF silver-plated seafood cutlery set for six, Germany, early 20th century.

This rare 12-piece set was made by WMF — Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik — and features an unusual Art Nouveau lobster-shaped handle design. The handles are silver plated and finely modelled with raised lobster details, segmented bodies, curved decoration and fan-shaped terminals.

The set includes six lobster forks and six seafood / oyster table knives with stainless steel blades. The pieces were designed for serving seafood, oysters, shellfish and similar table use.

Each fork and each handle is marked with the WMF ostrich mark and 1/0, indicating WMF silver plating. The set is complete and comes with its original flannel cutlery case.
