Vintage Lampette desk lamp by Koch Creations, Lynbrook, New York, produced in West Germany, 1960s.
This compact telescopic reading lamp is made from plastic and metal and was designed as an adjustable task lamp. The stand can be extended, shortened and positioned at different angles. The reflector shade rotates 360 degrees, allowing the light direction to be adjusted for reading, desk use or bedside use.
The base contains a transformer converting 220V to 6V. The lamp takes a BA15s fitting, 6V / max 15W, and is supplied with a 6V bulb.
The Lampette Reading Lamp, model E6, was designed in 1963 by Koch Creations and is represented in the Museum of Modern Art collection, listed as plastic and metal, with compact and expanded dimensions.
