Vintage Carr’s Sterling Silver Floral Photo Frame, Sheffield 1994

Vintage sterling silver photograph frame by Carr’s of Sheffield Ltd, hallmarked in Sheffield in 1994.

The frame has an arched portrait form with raised floral decoration, including roses and scrolling foliage around the border. The reverse is covered in dark blue fabric and fitted with a folding easel stand.

The hallmarks comprise RC for Carr’s of Sheffield Ltd, the Sheffield rose, lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter u for 1994. 12.B

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear and minor marks consistent with age and previous use. The raised floral decoration remains well defined. The dark blue fabric backing and folding easel stand are present and functional. There is some fabric loss on the inner section of the stand, visible in the photographs.
