Vintage Fedoskino Lacquer Box, Russian Miniature Jewelry Box, Orthodox Church Painting

This Russian lacquer jewelry box is a fine example of the Fedoskino miniature painting tradition. Signed by the artist Pukhlikov Y.A., this piece was created in 1993. The hand-painted scene depicts a beautiful Orthodox church in Nizhny Novgorod, showcasing delicate brushwork and luminous highlights characteristic of Fedoskino artistry.
The box is crafted from papier-mâché, a hallmark of authentic Russian lacquerware, and finished with a glossy protective coating. The interior is traditionally lacquered in a deep red colour.
