Vintage Sterling Silver Photo Frame, Birmingham 1996, Ornate Floral Design

English sterling silver photograph frame, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1996.

The frame has a shaped, highly decorative silver front with embossed floral, berry and ribbon motifs. The rectangular photo opening is bordered by a narrow silver edge, while the reverse is finished in dark velvet with a hinged easel stand for tabletop display.

Hallmarks include the SS sponsor’s mark, Birmingham anchor, lion passant for sterling silver, and date letter W for 1996. 14.B
