Antique Belber Suitcase 1910s – California Saddle Leather Trunk, Brass Hardware, Early 1900s Travel Luggage
Antique Belber leather suitcase, dating to the early 1900s (circa 1910–1920) and beautifully crafted from thick California Saddle Leather. Belber was one of America’s premier luxury luggage makers during the Edwardian era, and this piece displays all the hallmarks of their finest work: exceptional hand-stitched saddle leather, heavy brass hardware, structured construction, and a richly detailed interior.
The original rust-toned interior survives with quilted lining, gathered pockets, restraining straps, and an early metal clothing frame. The exterior features the original owner's monogram W.B.G. in an elegant serif typeface typical of the period. The suitcase also retains its early Belber badge, used from roughly 1903–1920, confirming its antique age.
