Antique Blue Brooch Box – H. Lockhart & Sons Whitehaven

Antique blue jewellery presentation box from H. Lockhart & Sons, Jewellers & Silversmiths, King Street, Whitehaven.

The square case has a vivid blue textured exterior, cream satin-lined lid and deep blue velvet fitted interior. The original retailer’s name and Whitehaven address remain clearly printed inside the lid.

The broad padded interior is suited to a brooch, pendant or similar piece of jewellery. The case has a hinged lid and front push-button fastening. 80.B

Condition: Excellent antique condition. The blue exterior retains a strong colour. The cream satin lining is well preserved with minor age-related marking. The retailer’s mark remains clear and legible. The hinge and front fastening are present.
