Antique Bronze Lion Armrest Mounts, Pair, 19th Century Empire Revival Furniture Fittings

£335

A pair of antique cast bronze mounts, modelled as reclining lions with extended forepaws. These were likely originally made as armrest terminals or decorative furniture fittings for a fine late 19th-century armchair, salon suite, daybed, or similar upholstered furniture.
The design features recumbent lions with a scalloped dish-like support and an upper loop, apparently intended to secure or receive part of an armrest structure with a pin, rod, or bolt. They would be suitable for antique furniture restoration, architectural salvage use, or display as decorative bronze elements.
