Antique Leather Mouthpiece or Jewellery Presentation Box, Blue Velvet Lined Tapered Case

Antique leather presentation box with a dark burgundy leather exterior and deep blue velvet-lined interior.

The box has a long oval form with a hinged lid and brass push-button catch. One end is noticeably wider and deeper than the other, creating a tapered interior. This form is consistent with cases made for a mouthpiece or other slender tapered accessory, although the original purpose cannot be confirmed. 

It may also have been used as a presentation box for a small jewellery or personal item of similar shape. B.33

Condition: Good antique condition. Light age-related wear to the leather exterior and minor wear to the velvet lining. The box opens and closes securely.
