Antique Ring Box – H. Pidduck & Sons Hanley

Antique ring presentation box from H. Pidduck & Sons Ltd, Goldsmiths, Hanley.

The compact square case has a brown textured exterior, cream satin-lined lid and black velvet fitted interior with a central slot designed to hold a ring. The original retailer’s mark is printed inside the lid beneath a crown motif.

The case has a hinged lid and front fastening. Date: c.1900–1925, early 20th century. 82.R

4 × 4 × 3.5 cm / 1.57 × 1.57 × 1.38 inches

Condition: Very good antique condition. The brown exterior and satin lining have light age-related wear.  The retailer’s mark remains clear and legible. The hinge and front fastening are present.
