Vintage Carr’s Sheffield Sterling Silver Photo Frame, 1997

Vintage sterling silver photograph frame by Carr’s of Sheffield Ltd, hallmarked in Sheffield in 1997.

The frame has a shaped rectangular form with flowing raised decoration in an Art Nouveau revival style, finished with a dark blue velvet-covered back and easel stand.

The hallmarks include RC for Carr’s of Sheffield Ltd, the Sheffield rose, lion passant for sterling silver, and the 1997 date letter x. 10.B

Condition: Very good vintage condition overall, with light surface wear consistent with age and use. The blue velvet backing and easel stand are present and functional. A section of the fabric covering is missing from the easel stand,  as shown in the last photo.
